Young Iranian contemporary artists under 40 are showing their paintings and photography at the Sala delle Feste of Palazzo Bastogi museum in Florence, Italy.
The exhibition ‘’ Iran -40’’ opened on July 25 in a ceremony attended by museum officials and art lovers. It features works of 20 painters and photographers, Honaronline reported.
All the participating artists in the past have held solo and group exhibitions in and outside Iran, which helped them achieve recognition in the art market.
The artists include painters Vahid Chamani, Saeed Khavarnejad, Morteza Khosravi and Soudeh Davoud; visual artist and photographer Mahsa Alikhani; and painter and graphic designer Ali Motamedian.
The artworks were selected by Italian curator Marco Frosini and the exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Canadian institute Safpem (specializing in contemporary arts in the Middle East and Europe ), Thorez Company (an art institution in France and Canada) and the Regional Council of Tuscany.
Safpem is planning to display the collection in Europe, the US, Canada and China in the future. The event will run until August 10.
